Jochen and the ants

One sunny winter day in Florida Jochen was out golfing with his buddies. At hole #4 his golf ball landed in a bushy area. Not wanting to give up this ball he went into the bushy area to retrieve it. However, unbeknownst to Jochen the ground was infested with fire ants - a common insect in Florida. Not only did he come out of the area with his golf ball but his feet were covered with the pesky creatures.  With the help of his buddies, he brushed most of them off, but unfortunately not enough. A couple of holes later he became ill and was finding it hard to breath. Fortunately Jochen's lovely wife Antoinette was golfing in a group just ahead. The friends alerted Toni (that was the name all her friends called her, but to Jochen it was always Antoinette), and it was decided that Toni  would drive Jochen back to the clubhouse in one of the golf carts. But not so. Now this part gets quite serious. On their way back, Jochen was losing consciousness, and Toni had to act quickly.  She stopped a passing car on a road through the course and asked the driver to call an ambulance. It arrived immediately and whisked Jochen off to the nearest hospital leaving Toni to take the cart back to the clubhouse, jump into their car and join Jochen at the hospital. All is well that ends well. Several doses of a miracle drug brought him back to his old self and he lived to play many more games of golf with these same buddies. True to Jochen form he was able to reduce the rather large hospital and ambulance bill down to a reasonable amount. We never saw him go into any unfamiliar bushes on the golf course ever again.
