Grandma Theresa was a woman of faith, generous and thoughtful, and always ready for her next adventure. I'll always remember the stories of her students that she taught for so many years on the reserve and also the stories of her family growing up.

Grandma Therese was very kind to my sister and I growing up. I enjoyed all our visits to Brampton, and shared wonderful conversations about Grandpa Edmund. I knew she loved him dearly and wanted us to know about him, his family history and their adventures. She spoke often of her sisters and the love and memories they shared. I will never forget the adventure she undertook to find a rugby ball and magazine for my birthday. It was very thoughtful.
May the Lord bless and keep her.

I sure enjoyed the cooking of Aunt Therese and her sense of humour. Also I remember her not wanting to talk about a child in front of that child. She was so respectful. She loved my Uncle Edmond and he was always amused by her. And she loved his daughters and grandchildren. Thank-you dear Irene for your loving care of her.

I have special memories of Therese who was married to my husband's brother Edmond. We often visited them in their home in Toronto and I was impressed with her skills in cooking, housekeeping and above all the peaceful atmosphere she created. She also loved music and I was amused when she and Edmond occasionally would dance together in their apartment! What characterized Therese most was her love of people. She would often spend time at the nearby shopping center, talking to strangers rather than looking frantically for bargains! My niece Irene, Edmond's daughter, deserves much praise for the tireless care she gave to Therese during her declining years.

When we first met I immediately knew I would like Thérèse. She was feisty, interesting, and warm. Although we didn’t see her a lot over the years due to distance between Ottawa and Toronto, I always enjoyed my conversations with her. I was impressed by her keen interest in our family history and by her radiant faith in a loving God. One happy memory is the reunion she planned after my uncle Edmond passed away. We all met outdoors behind her condo and she had prepared a beautiful picnic. It was such a lovely gesture to include us all. Another wonderful memory I have is staying with Thérèse along with my brother Peter. We had such great conversations and I learned so much about her courageous life. Thérèse, you spread kindness wherever you went and you looked after dear uncle Edmond during his illness. May God bless you, good and faithful servant!
