After receiving the sad news that my father in law, my “Brad” passed away in his sleep. I always admired how my wife, his daughter and my mother in law, his wife of almost fifty years, selflessly took care of his needs and helped him through his ailments as his mobility declined through the nine years of being diagnosed with Parkinson. What a comfort it was for him to have them both by his side. It is always sad to say a final good bye to someone you care for, but even more so for both, with such big hearts. They are both taking comfort in the thought that he is now in a better place. I want to tell you a secret. During the early days after meeting my father in law, he once told me. “Peaches may be hard headed and independent. She is also very caring and giving. I have no idea what and where I would be if it were not for my daughter. I’m very blessed.” He told me about the special times they both had, during her early years. And how her sense of humour cheered him up when he fretted about his immobility. What a nice gift to have given him. My wife does have a way in spreading sunshine around.

To Tita Rose and Peaches 'Pete'.... please accept my deepest condolences to the loss of a great husband and father. I remember him well...he was very kind and he always seemed to smile when he talked....which would make me smile back at him. Just last Sunday 8th I was in the Brampton Shoppers World mall and he entered my thoughts for a brief moment...so strange since I haven't seen him in so long. God Bless Tito Jess.
