Gloria Irene Delong had a kind adventurous and fun loving spirit. It was important to her to travel and understand and share perspectives about the world. She experienced life to its fullest and in addition to being a loving mother, grandmother, wife, friend, and teacher, she was a scuba diver, pole vaulter, fisher woman, skier, sailor, tennis player, and avid golfer. She was beautiful inside and out, and had class. She loved music and had a special place in her heart for the Three Tenors, and Bocelli. She loved people and enjoyed good conversation over a glass of wine and a fine meal. Gloria was a fighter and was feisty, strong, determined, and courageous but passed unexpectedly Sunday 11/24/2019, nearly recovering from a recent surgery. Gloria will be missed by her 3 children, Mike, Krista, and Kim, their spouses Therese, Mike, and Jeff, her 6 Grandchildren Kyra, Haley, Dylan, Emma, Austin, and Liam and her many lifelong and new friends.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life for Gloria in 2020.

Private Condolence

Sorry to hear of Gloria's death. I am a 1st cousin of Gloria's, my dad, Clayton Lowry, and Gloria's mother were brother and sister.
I was younger than Gloria but do remember the times that her family would visit us on the farm in Lowforest Quebec. We were about 31/2 miles out of the town Sawyerville where we all went to school together . I now live in Ottawa and have been here since 1970. My name is Richard Lowry. Just wanted to express my condolence's.

Bill and I and a few others spent many Saturdays with Gloria and Pete at the meat draws in the Legion. Then they would have us all come to their house for food and drinks. It's a beautiful obituary for a truly sweet, classy Lady. Hope you and Pete are together again.

Krista, Kim and Mike and families-
Very sorry to hear of Gloria’s passing.
She was a wonderful Neighbour- always smiling!! I have great memories of the kitchen ceiling signatures and the nautical basement. It’s been many years since I have seen her but she hadn’t changed a bit- loving life!!
