MILDRED HELEN FIGLIANO Passed away peacefully due to a short battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at the age of 75. Proud mother of Stephanie (Chris Tillger), Fortunato and Christopher. Cherished Baba of Jacob, Liliana, Max, Taylor, Tristen, Zachary and Elenia. Loving sister to the late George (Linda) and the late Barbara Ann (Peter). Loving Aunt to Catherine (Bernard) and Anne-Marie. Millie will be missed by her great nieces and her cousins especially in Pennsylvania. Millie was born in Timmins Ontario to Stephen and Magda Tancrajteron March 6 1945, she was the youngest of three children. Memorably noted in helping to set up the Toronto Blue Jays franchise in 1977, where shortly after she left to start her family. Always known for her dirty humour and quick wit, along with her vast amount of knowledge from her love of crossword puzzles and reading. Millie looked forward to her annual trips to see her cousins in Masontown which were filled with her bargain hunting shopping sprees, and her love/hate relationship for the one-armed bandit, bringing along anyone who would join her. Her ultimate love “to the moon and back” for her seven grandchildren will always be remembered and cherished. Mark, Gail, Annie and all her close friends you will forever be in her heart.

Steph, Nato, Chris and family:

My condolences to you all for the passing of Kuma Millie.

As a mother, grandmother, relative or friend, she was always there with the biggest heart.

I have countless memories of birthday parties, pig roasts, Canada day parties, Jays games and Croatian picnics as some of the best times with Kuma Millie.

I have comfort that she is in a much better place now with some of the very best of us.

Kuma Millie was one of a kind, much loved and will be remembered always.

With love,

George markusic sr

Stephanie, Nato & Chris,

Please accept our condolences on the passing of your mother. My fondest memories of Kuma Millie are from the numerous pig roasts and family gatherings over the years. She was a great host and always made sure everyone had a full plate and a good time. While I was too young to play at the time, I would have loved to have joined in on the poker games that always seemed to come together later in the evening.

Kuma Millie will be missed, but never forgotten.

With love,

Adam, Tory, Dominic, Henry & Rosanna

My sympathies to Stephanie, Nato & Chris. My heart is aching. Millie and I have been friends for 57 years, going back to our Labatt days. We celebrated each others weddings, we laughed and we cried together. I will miss our ever so long talks , but most of all I will miss you my dear friend. Rest well.

This is Millie at Stephanie’s SK Graduation, Class of ‘85, St. Francis of Assisi school. Millie ‘s beautiful smile was infectious, as was her laugh, and her distinctive husky voice was unmistakable anywhere. Rest peacefully Millie in the loving arms of Jesus. ❤️
